And following the one shot, all of these people become intertwined in Officer Dodge's desperate need to find answers in order to save himself and his career.

Oooh, the plot is rich with characters and sub-characters that each need the other in order that their scheme plays out the way they want. And just when it all wraps up, a red herring is found to have been at play.

Alone is a whodunit type of thriller that will not disappoint. I look forward to the next in the series.
